This carved lion was possibly originally part of a large coat of arms or armorial, the lion consists of a finely carved face, mane, muscular body and tail standing on his hind legs, the carving being flat to the back to enable easy wall hanging, with hooks attached.

This carved lion is in good condition for age, is of stable construction and can go straight into a home - this would make a real statement all hanging.
