A large superb quality mid 19th century (circa 1835) circular mahogany tilt top dining table stamped James Winter, 101 Wardour Street, Soho, London - ADDITIONAL IMAGES CAN BE VIEWED BELOW:
This table consists of a superbly figured solid mahogany top with moulded edge leading down to a frieze with moulding below, the top can either be secured down or tilted up.
The table is supported by a turned and carved column with tri-form base consisting of three superbly carved cabriole legs with scrolling decoration with original recessed castors.
James Winter was an important furniture dealer, broker and licenced appraiser from Soho, London at 101, Wardour Street between 1823-1840 and later after moving in 1840 at 151-155, Wardour Street - he was renowned for dealing in high quality furniture.
