A superb quality English early 20th century highly decorative George II style lacquered drinks/cocktail cabinet on stand - ADDITIONAL IMAGES CAN BE VIEWED BELOW:  

This cabinet on stand consists of a highly decorative two door cabinet superbly decorated with painted and lacquered floral designs, also replicated on the sides, all in very good condition for age.
 
Each panel has a lacquered decorative border with floral and foliate painted corners, each panel having a dark green background with lacquered vase filled with various exotic flowers in both high and low relief work.

The doors have an elaborate engraved brass lock plate and key with engraved brass corner brackets and hinges, the side panels also having a deep green background with superbly painted floral decoration also with brass hinges.

The interior of the cabinet consists of three adjustable, shaped & painted shelves each door having a Chinoiserie scene to the inside of superb quality.

The cabinet is supported by an exquisitely carved walnut base of outstanding quality consisting of a finely carved moulded edge leading down to a superbly carved deep apron with central scallop shell intertwined with a cornucopia of exotic fruits and scrolling floral and foliate designs.   

The sides also consist of superbly carved decoration replicated from the front,  the base is supported by four carved cabriole legs terminating with scrolling acanthus standing on hoof feet.

These cabinets were very fashionable in the early 20th century and were made in the style of early Georgian Japanned cabinets on stands, having highly decorative influences of fine Japanned work and superbly carved bases.

This cabinet on stand in in excellent condition for age, is of stable construction and can go straight into a home and would make an ideal drinks or cocktail cabinet.
