19thc burr oak work table of superb patina

An early 19th century burr oak and rosewood freestanding work table in the pembroke style of superb patina (colour) and good proportions - ADDITIONAL IMAGES CAN BE VIEWED BELOW:

The top consists of four fine quality burr oak panels with mahogany and boxwood stringing, a rosewood banding and a burr oak edge.

This leads down to two drawers, having the appearance of four, veneered in oak with mahogany stringing and nice brass handles.

The top drawer is fitted with a writing/working slope with a fitted interior of compartments and a pen tray.

The lower drawer is also fitted with compartments with oak dividers, the position of these can be changed or completely removed to your own choice. 

To each side of the drawers there is a burr oak panel surrounded by mahogany stringing

Underneath the drawers is a slide comprising of a rosewood panel (this would originally have had a needlework compartment but this has been removed due to changing fashions over the years.)

This leads down to four turned tapered legs and terminating with brass castors.

The back of the table has a similar design to the front without the handles which makes this a freestanding table.

This piece in in very good original condition and can go straight into a home.
