17th century Anglo-Portugese palisander table

An extremely rare 17th century rectangular Anglo-Portugese palisander wood low table of superb patina (colour) - ADDITIONAL IMAGES CAN BE VIEWED BELOW:

The solid, finely figured palisander top has a gadrooned carved edge, the frieze has a concealed single drawer, having the appearance of two smaller drawers and this design is replicated on the back.

The drawer, back and sides all have a ripple moulded designs with pierced brass ornamentation (three on the front and back and one on each side) with each corner having the ripple moulded decoration also.

Below the drawer is a carved, gadrooned moulding similar to the design to the top and is supported by turned barley twisted legs with turned barley twist stretchers.

The barley twist legs lead down to a block design, all  of which have pierced brass decoration.

The table terminates with finely turned feet.

This table is in excellent condition for age, it is of stable condition and can go straight into a home.
