A mid-late 19th century Grand Tour Classical bronze of a dancing faun with cymbals of good patina, after the antique - FURTHER IMAGES CAN BE VIEWED BELOW:-

This piece is taken from the original marble figure in the Tribuna gallery in the Uffizi, Florence dating from the 17th century.

This bronze is of very good colour (patina) and is cast after the a figure by Issak Duchemin (this is marked Duchemin, as seen on photograph 10).

One foot rests on a set of bellows and he is holding cymbals in his hands.

The joint on his left arm is secure, although has slightly dropped - we have not had this restored due to  retaining the original patination of the piece.

Other than this the bronze in in excellent order and is a great statement piece due to the size.
