A late 19thc Chinese hardwood carving of an emaciated elderly man.

He is seated in a meditating position with a mythical creature at his side.

He has very prominent ribs and bones and is possibly a Chinese Lohan figure (meditating Bhuddist figure).

This figure is in very good condition and has a good patina.
