18thc Norwegian burr birch peg tankard

Dimensions:

A late 18thc Norwegian burr birch peg tankard with rich patination.
The lid has foliate design with a four-leaf clover carving with intricate detailed design surrounding it.
The thumb knob is also intricately carved with fluting with a herring-bone design.
The handle has a carved decoration with a diamond design.
The tankard stands on three carved feet with foliage design. Also the underneath has a decorative, turned and carved floral patera and the initilas 'LV' around the edge of the base.
