A late 19th century Chinese hardwood pot stand in rosewood or possibly padouk with a marble inset top - ADDITIONAL IMAGES CAN BE VIEWED BELOW:

The stand consists of a marble top has a reddish/pink tone and is recessed into the top, surrounded by a ball bead carving.

There is a deep moulding with piercing & a frieze with intricate foliage carving leading to the top corners of the legs.

The top of the legs have a face of an open-mouthed dragon leading down to foliage carved decoration.

There is a circular, dished shelf leading down to ball & claw feet.

This table is ideal for displaying items or stands very well on its own.

These tables were made in the latter part of the 19thc mainly for the export market.

This stand is in very good condition, is of stable construction and can go straight into a home.
