19thc Folk Art carved wooden stags head

Highly decorative late 19thc Continental Folk Art hanging carved wooden & painted stags head, with original deer antlers.
The real antlers have been attached to the carved figure to create a 'trophy'.
It is quite difficult to view the wood underneath the paint, but it looks like a type of walnut.
There is some paint loss due to general wear & tear over the years, but this adds to the character of the piece. The left ear has been re-painted at some stage.
