Pair of Anglo Indian camel tables
A near pair of late 19th/early 20th century Anglo Indian hardwood camel tables of superb quality and good patina, possibly from the Gujarat region - ADDITIONAL IMAGES CAN BE VIEWED BELOW:
These tables both have an octagonal top with a plain central section, surrounding with a profusely carved foliage design with a gadrooned edge leading down to a carved and shaped frieze.
The table tops are fixed to the superbly carved camel body, with a saddle and rug on his back.
The bases have a carved geometric design, again with a gadrooned edge.
There is some evidence of old repairs on the smaller of the two tables but these have been executed superbly.
Both tables are in very good condition, stable construction and can go straight into a home, one is slightly smaller than the other.
