This pot stand consists of a circular Chinese rouge marble top surrounded by foliate and floral carved decoration with gadroon carved edge.
This leads down to a plain pierced moulding with carved geometric design below leading down to a carved and pierced frieze of foliate and fruit decoration.
The cabriole legs with foliate carved decoration and scrolling design having a lower circular stretcher with carved foliate and floral design terminating with foliate and scrolling feet.
The underside of the marble top with old labels from ‘H Mawer & Stephen Ltd’ and ‘Mawer’s Depository, London’ these probably being storage facilities or retailer.
This pot stand is in very good condition for age, is of stable construction and can go straight into a home.
