A highly decorative late 18th/early 19th century French Empire mahogany and marble gueridon table - ADDITIONAL IMAGES CAN BE VIEWED BELOW:

This table consists of an original St Anne marble top in grey/black tones in very good condition, the marble surrounded by a pierced lattice brass gallery with a moulded edge.

This leads down to a veneered mahogany frieze with brass inlaid line decoration and an inlaid panel with brass line diamond decoration above each leg and brass moulding below.

The tri-form base is unusual, consisting of three carved and painted legs with eagle heads to the top, leaf decoration and terminating with paw feet, supported on brass and porcelain castors, the legs also support a circular St Anne marble shelf.

This table is in very good condition for age, is of stable construction and can go straight into a home.
