This table consists of a profusely inlaid top of decorative mosaic geometric designs in exotic woods & mother-of-pearl, the top with central star design with diamond inlaid design to either side with inlaid borders.
The top opening to reveal a green velvet covered surface and to the reverse an inlaid chess board, this folding back to reveal a backgammon board below, the top twisting to reveal a storage area for card and games pieces.
The table is supported on four shaped legs also with inlaid decoration with inlaid shelf below.
These designs, typical of the Middle East and Damascus area, are created by inlaying various exotic woods such as walnut olive, ebony and mother of pearl.
This table is in very good condition for age, is of stable construction and can go straight into a home.
