Code: LVS321
Dimensions:
An early 19thc fine quality satinwood and rosewood drop leaf table of small proportions.
This table is of exceptional quality, possibly by a maker such as Gillows although this is not stamped.
The top consists of a satinwood veneered top with a rosewood banding with a boxwood line.
This table would have started life as a work table and where the slide pulls out originally would have housed a basket for materials and sewing items.
As the fashions changed over the years this table has been adapted with a Rio rosewood panel to create a sliding shelf, making it a more practical piece of furniture.
There is a drawer to the front, also satinwood veneered and rosewood banded with two fine quality brass knobs.
The drawer design is mirrored on the other side of the table (as a dummy drawer) which makes this table a freestanding and more desirable piece of furniture.
The piece is supported by four finely turned and reeded solid rosewood legs leading down to fine brass castors.
This table is of stable construction and go straight into a home.
