An 18th century tripod occasional table/wine table of oval form of good patina (colour) - ADDITIONAL IMAGES CAN BE VIEWED BELOW:
This table consists of a finely figured solid mahogany oval top with oval inlaid shell and leaf decoration in boxwood and stained sycamore.
This leads down to an elegant & sophisticated base consisting of a turned baluster column with reeded decoration standing on cabriole tri-form legs and terminating with pointed pad feet.
The top and base of this table compliment each other very well and although they are of a similar age (from the mid/late 18th century) in my opinion they have been 'married' at a later date, but many years ago, to create a superb table.
This table is very good condition for age, is structurally sound and ready to go into a home.
