A rare mid 18th century superb quality George II mahogany chest of drawers of small proportions and fine patina - ADDITIONAL IMAGES CAN BE VIEWED BELOW:
The top consists of a finely figured mahogany top with fine, faded patina with a moulded edge and canted corners.
This leads down to fluted canted corners, the drawers consisting of a two over three graduated drawer configuration, the drawer fronts being veneered mahogany on pine with oak drawer linings, each drawer retaining the original brass handles and escutcheon plates.
Each of the ends are of figured mahogany supported by a moulding, the chest supported by bracket feet also with canted corners.
This chest is rare due to the size and canted top, corners and feet and these features place it in a 'fine furniture' category.
This chest of drawers is in excellent condition for age, is of stable construction and can go straight into a home.
