Dimensions:
An early 19thc mahogany side table with one drawer of fine patination.
The top is of curl mahogany & has a reeded edge with an ebony inlaid pattern.
The frieze has a figured mahogany veneer with ebony stringing.
The drawer is mahogany lined and has mahogany cock beads with lion mask handles and a round ebony inlaid escutcheon.
The piece has turned legs and at the base of the legs, they have been tipped. This means they have had a few inches of wood added at some point - it may have originally had castors at the base of the legs but for modern living the table was not high enough & therefore it was heightened. This does enhance the piece & makes it much more practical.
This could be used as a writing table, side table or even as a dressing table.
