An early 19thc Regency mahogany & ebony, mirror backed console table.
The top has a central inlaid anthemion with an ebony inlaid line design with meeting arrows at the base of the anthemion.
There is a mahogany cross grain banding above a large brass moulding.
The top frieze consists of a central brass & ebony panel. Each side of this panel is a design of ebony black line with a tulip style design either end. At each corner is a decorative brass patera.
This leads down to four mahogany & ebony supports with various inlaid designs with arrow heads & stars.
At the bottom of each support is a brass moulding. These terminate with a block & the front two have a brass patera.
At the back of the table is a mirror which is fixed with a three panelled pine back, with a yellow wash.
The bottom shelf consists of a mahogany & ebony edging at the front.
Below this is a brass moulding with a laurel leaf & ball design.
This leads down to a mahogany plynth at the base.
