This pair of chairs consist of a shaped top rail with central carved shell and foliate carved decoration with shell carving to the outer top corners.
This leads down to the central splat, pierced and carved in the typical Chippendale manner with foliate and scrolling decoration.
The side supports have blind fret foliate carved decoration, the arms and arm supports being shaped in design with carved foliate decoration to the end.
The seats are upholstered with an antiqued red leather fabric being secured with brass dome-head tacks.
The front legs are of cabriole design with carved shell and leaf decoration to the top terminating with a ball and claw foot, the back legs being of splay design.
This pair of chairs are in excellent condition, are of stable construction and can go straight into a home.
