A fine quality pair of early 20th century Kingwood bedside commodes with marble tops. FURTHER IMAGES CAN BE VIEWED BELOW:
These commodes consist of moulded edge & serpentine shaped purple grain marble tops.
The main commode is of bombe shape form with serpentine shaped fronts, veneered in Kingwood and inlaid with panels of floral marquetry of various stained woods on the fronts and the sides.
They each have two drawers with ormolu handles and a decorative ormolu mount on each of the lower drawers.
The legs are tapered in design with fine ormolu mounts from the top to the base of the front legs.
These commodes would be ideal as bedside tables but equally would suit either a hallway or living room.
These pieces are in very good condition, of stable construction and can go straight into a home.
