Pair of French 19th century walnut fauteuils

A pair of French late 19th century carved walnut fauteuils with tapestry upholstery in the Louis XVth style - ADDITIONAL IMAGES CAN BE VIEWED BELOW:

These chairs comprise of a decorative floral & foliage tapestry upholstered back with shaped top rail.

The arms are of outswept design and are finely carved with acanthus and lattice decoration.

The seats, of serpentine shape to the front are again upholstered with floral & foliage tapestry fabric and lead down to carved and shaped seat rails again finely carved with lattice and shell decoration.

The four cabriole legs have a carved shell design on the knee and terminate with a scroll foot, supported by a shaped X stretcher.

These chairs are in very good condition and can go straight into a property.
