A late 19th century French ormolu relief plaque of Napoleon on horseback, based on the famous painting by Jacques-Louis David 'Napoleon Crossing the Alps' 1800-1801.
The finely cast figure is attached to a faded red velvet mount in a rosewood frame with a gilded slip (moulding) with original glass.
This piece is very decorative and in excellent condition.
