A highly decorative late 19thc French Louis XV style ormolu mounted & mahogany vitrine table, in the form of a trefoil (clover shaped).
The top consists of a piece of trefoil shaped bevelled glass supported by a decorative ormolu edging, framed by mahogany & this sits in a brass edge.
There are three sides to this cabinet, all of shaped glass & mahogany sides, framed with decorative ormolu mouldings. Two of the sides are solid & one is a hinged opening door.
The interior consists of a trefoil glass shelf above a velvet covered base, each of these used for display purposes.
At the top of each corner there is an ormolu mount & at the top of each leg an acanthus ormolu mount leads to cabriole legs supported by an ormolu scroll foot. The shaped mahogany stretcher terminates to a seated ormolu winged cherub.
