Late 19thc Chinese carved hardwood desk

A late 19th century Chinese profusely carved folding hardwood desk/table - ADDITIONAL IMAGES CAN BE VIEWED BELOW:

The table consists of a top with a central section surrounded by a profusely carved border of Chinese symbols, serpents and flowers.

This leads down to a frieze, again profusely carved with similar designs to the top and this decoration is also carried round to the sides and back.

The frieze at the front incorporates two drawers with carved wooded handles and the frieze below is shaped in the form of a wave.  

The base section is also profusely carved and pierced with serpents and flowers and can be folded for easy storage and transport.

This table could be used for many purposes such as a desk, dressing table or occasional table etc. 

This piece is in very good condition for age and can go straight into a home.
