Late 19th Japanese cloisonne charger

A late 19thc large Japanese cloisonne charger with a blue background.

This is a piece from The Meiji period from around 1890.

The charger has a blue background & depicts many flying & standing cranes.

In Japan, cranes are a symbol of both longevity & prosperity.

It has a decorative wide border surrounding the crane design.
On the reverse there is a scroll design on the outer border.
