A large late 19th century hardwood highly decorative octagonal Indian table, possibly from the Bombay area - ADDITIONAL IMAGES CAN BE VIEWED BELOW:
The top consists of a circular brass inset tray that is supported by the table top. The brass tray is engraved and painted with male and female figures along with floral and flower decoration, possibly indicating that the table was a marriage gift.
The table is of octagonal form with an arcaded base, all profusely carved with flower and leaf designs of very good quality.
The table top can be removed from the base and the base can be folded for easy storage and transport.
The table is in very good condition for age and can go straight into a home.
