A very unusual & highly decorative late 19thc /early 20thc secretaire a abattant, veneered in Hungarian Ash. This is a very unusual veneer with an attractive figured grain.
There are two turned columns with finely carved mounts. Also the drawers have decorative handles & the piece a has a total of 15 drawers.
The top is of black granite & underneath this is one long drawer with fine mounts.
This leads down to a lockable falling front with an interior of 9 drawers. Within this there are 4 turned ash & ebonised columns, giving an architectural appearance.
Underneath the fall there are then 3 small drawers over 2 large drawers, all lockable, so there is plenty of stoarge space.
At the base the piece stands on tapered legs.
This is an ideal piece to use as a desk or purely for storage purposes, and would fit into any interior.
All drawers are ash lined, veneered with Hungarian Ash.
