A fine quality William IVth (circa 1835) pollard oak card or games table of superb patina - ADDITIONAL IMAGES CAN BE VIEWED BELOW:
This table consists of an oak top with oak banding and outer oak crossbanding, leading down to a crossbanded edge.
The top turns to reveal a storage compartment for cards etc. and the top opens up to reveal a green baize covered surface leading down to a moulded front rail with carved foliate brackets to each side.
The base consists of an octagonal column leading down to a finely carved collar supported on a quatre-form pedestal base terminating with four carved paw feet with carved foliate brackets on original brass castors.
This table is in very good condition for age, is of stable construction and can go straight into a home.
