An early/mid 19thc East Anglian rocking chair, made of fruitwood.
This chair has quite a sophisticated design for a provincial piece of furniture.
The top rail has a geometric design with a plain central panel, underneath this is a decorative back splat with a central turned patera.
Underneath this is a further back splat with two rails and turned buttons joining them together.
The sophisticated shaped armrests are supported by turned supports leading down to a plain seat.
The front legs are tapered leading down to the rocker at the base.
This chair is in excellent condition and can go straight into a home.
