A late 19th century/early 20th century decorative cold painted spelter Nubian figure in the Bergmann style. FURTHER IMAGES CAN BE VIEWED BELOW:
This Nubian man, from the North African area wears traditional clothing and is seated on a carved stone sphinx.
The right arm has an old repair and the paintwork has been re-touched on the figure over the years.
This piece is in good condition, there is no evidence of a stamp or signature but is in the style of the Austrian sculptor, Franz Bergmann.
