This chair has a shaped top rail with central carved shell and leaf decoration, also with shell carving on the top corners.
The central splat is pierced and carved in the typical Chippendale manner.
The side supports have blind fret carving of leaf decoration and the arms and arm supports are shaped in design.
The seat is upholstered with a reddish/brown leather, secured with brass dome-head tacks.
The front legs are of cabriole design with carved shell and leaf decoration terminating with a ball & claw foot, the back legs are of splay design.
This chair is of very good condition, is of stable construction and can go straight into a home.
