19thc mahogany & ebony canterbury
An unusual, rare & fine quality early 19thc mahogany and ebony lyre canterbury.
This piece has four mahogany & ebonised baluster-turned corner supports with turned ebony finials at the top. There are two lyre design supports to the back and front with brass string and ball decoration and decorative ebony pateras.
It has one mahogany drawer with ebony cockbeading & is mahogany lined.
The piece sits on turned legs with brass castors,
There are three sections for newspapers or magazines.
