A decorative pair of late 19thc French Louis XVI style ormolu (gilt brass) chenets/fire dogs.
Each chenet has a large Classical urn with a flame and decorated with swags.
The urn is supported by a column with a lions head to the base.
There is a pierced curved balustrade also decorated with swags and a foliage decoration to the top.
The balustrade leads to a smaller urn with a flame also supported by a column.
These chenets are of good quality and in excellent condition having recently been professionally cleaned.
