This piece consists of nine drawers, each with original handles & escutcheons.
At the top there is a cross-grain mahogany moulded cornice with a blind fret decoration below this.
The same blind fret decoration is repeated on the canted corners on the top section of the chest.
The mahogany drawers are cock-beaded, oak lined with original locks & the sides are solid curl mahogany boards.
The bottom section consists of three mahogany drawers with oak linings standing on bracket feet with the same blind fret decoration.
This piece is in superb condition & is a good example of a piece of Georgian furniture with well figured mahogany & good patination.
This item is of stable construction & can go straight into a home.
