Small 19thc Welsh oak potboard dresser & rack
An early/mid 19thc Welsh oak pot board dresser & rack of small proportions and good patina (colour), in good original condition - ADDITIONAL PHOTOS BELOW.
The open rack consists of a shaped moulding with a shaped frieze, leading down to two shelves with shaped ends.
The rack sits on a pot board base consisting of six cock beaded drawers (pine lined) with original brass swan neck handles.
There are also two dummy drawers inlaid with decorative birch panels which is an unusual design .
The base stands on three turned front legs, at the top of these there are carved sunburst corner spandrels, the back legs being square.
The legs lead down to the panelled pot board, framed with a shaped moulding.
This dresser is possibly from the Cardiganshire region in Wales.
This piece is a desirable item due to it's small size and it could therefore fit into even a small cottage or any property.
