A fine quality mid 19th century (circa 1840) mahogany pedestal sideboard with superb flame mahogany veneers - ADDITIONAL IMAGES CAN BE VIEWED BELOW:
This sideboard consists of an upstand of superb quality flame mahogany veneer with recessed oblong panel with rounded ends with finely carved end supports to either side of foliate, fan and scroll decoration.
Below, the mahogany top leads down to three cushion drawers, the central drawer being larger with a smaller drawer with carved foliate decoration to either side.
The pedestals consist of superbly carved foliate trusses with scroll decoration, the doors having a central carved arched panel of superbly chosen veneers, one door opening to reveal a drawer with fitted cellarette, the other having two drawers, the pedestals supported on a moulded plinth.
This sideboard is in excellent condition for age, is of stable construction and can go straight into a home.
