This bureau consists of a solid mahogany top leading down to the solid mahogany fall, the timber choice on this piece is of excellent quality.
The fall has an oval brass escutcheon plate to the top with a book rest to the bottom, the fall opens to reveal a nice interior.
The interior consists of six pigeon holes, three convex shaped drawers of fine quality mahogany with oak linings and also a secret drawer.
The fall has been covered with a deep red felt which is in very good condition.
The bureau has two drawers, the top drawer being of convex shape and the lower drawer being slightly longer, both having original brass swan neck handles.
The base is again of excellent quality timber with a moulding, the frieze below is of cross grain mahogany supported by four cabriole legs and terminates on pad feet.
This piece is in excellent condition for age with some evidence of old repairs and can go straight into a home or office.
