18th century oak chest on stand
A mid 18th century oak chest on stand of fine patina - ADDITIONAL IMAGES CAN BE VIEWED BELOW:
This piece consists of a solid oak chest with hinged lid (hinges not original), the front has a brass escutcheon plate with a concealed long drawer below, the drawers having two brass handles and brass escutcheon plate to the centre.
This leads down to the base consisting of of two drawers with two brass handles with a shaped frieze below, standing on four turned legs and supported by four pad feet, the legs all being original.
This chest on stand is a very versatile and useful piece of furniture, it is in excellent condition for age, is of stable construction and can go straight into a home.
