A late 17th century (circa 1690) oak six plank coffer with excellent patina (colour) and of small, narrow proportions - ADDITIONAL IMAGES CAN BE VIEWED BELOW:
This coffer consists of a solid oak top of fine patina with a moulded edge with original steel catch and hinges, the lid opening to reveal a candle box and storage space.
This leads down to the front, also of fine patina, with carved decoration to the sides and carved lunette design below with original square steel lock plate and escutcheon.
The side panels lead down to arcaded supports with oak back to the reverse.
This coffer is in excellent original condition for age, is of stable construction and can go straight into a home.
