This chair has a superbly shaped and carved back of sophisticated design with harebell and foliate decoration.
The scrolling arms are carved replicating the feathers of birds and terminate with decorative eagle heads.
The upholstered seat is in a pale pink damask, this could easily be changed if required once purchased.
The chair stands on four cabriole legs, the front two being carved with a superb acanthus design terminating with hairy paw feet, the back legs being a shaped cabriole design.
This design is a copy of a style that dates from 1730/1740 and original chairs from this period would be in the tens of thousands to purchase.
