A superb mid 19th century set of six birch & rush chairs from the Lancashire area.
The chairs have a turned and shaped top rail with two lower curved plain splats connected by five scratch moulded rails with curved uprights to the sides.
The chairs have good quality, original rush seats all in good condition.
The legs are of square design with a plain front rail with two square stretchers to the sides.
The construction of these chairs gives us quite a sophisticated chair design with the use of complex turnings, sawing and shaping and the influence of Sheraton designs.
These chairs are in good, original condition and can go straight into a home.
