A superb pair of late 19th century Exhibition quality satinwood breakfront display cabinets - ADDITIONAL IMAGES CAN BE VIEWED BELOW:

The display cabinets consist of satinwood breakfront shaped tops with boxwood stringing surrounded by a brass quadrant moulding leading down to satinwood and boxwood stringing and a dentil moulding below.

This leads down to a finely painted frieze consisting of swag and bow decoration with Neoclassical penwork figures to the centre.

On each display cabinet the central section having a finely painted circular porcelain plaque of a cherub within fine quality ormolu frame, ormolu Corinthian capitals to either side supporting purpleheart tapered columns with foliate ormolu mounts below, the central glazed panel with brass quadrant moulding.

The glazed doors to either side with satinwood and boxwood stringing and brass moulding with outer purpleheart supports with ormolu harebell mounts to the top and foliate ormolu mounts below, glazed panels to the ends with brass moulding.

The glazed doors opening to reveal the interior consisting of satinwood and boxwood shelves with a brown velvet covering, ideal for the display of precious items or possibly books etc.

Each of the display cabinets supported on a satinwood and boxwood plinth with large brass moulding to the top.

This pair of display cabinets are in very good condition for age, are of stable construction and can go straight into a home.
