An early 19thc Regency two drawer writing table, of fine patination (colour) and of very good proportion.
The top is finished with a black tooled leather & has mahogany & ebony banding.
The drawers are oak lined with flame mahogany veneers with ebony stringing.
There are two working drawers & six dummy ones, all having two circular handles (not original) with a lion mask image.
At the top corner of each leg there is a diamond pattern inlaid design.
The piece stands on turned mahogany & ebonised legs, terminating on hairy paw feet.
