A late 19thc/early 20thc Anglo Indian hardwood camel table of superb quality, possibly from the Gujarat region.
This table has an octagonal top with a plain central section, surrounding this a profusely carved foliage design with a gadrooned edge. This leads down to a carved and shaped frieze.
The table top is fixed to the superbly carved camel body, consisting of a saddle and rug etc on his back.
The camel base has a craved geometric design, again with a gadrooned edge.
This superb table is an ideal piece for either a period or contemporary property, equally suited as a table or as a statement piece.
This table is in excellent condition, stable construction and can go straight into a home.
